THE TEAM

Suzanne

Suzanne is a mother and farmer who brings over ten years of growing experience to Late June Flowers. She worked on farms in Michigan and North Carolina before returning home to Louisville to put down roots. Her love of flowers grew from creating blooms for her own wedding. Her move back to Kentucky marked the beginning of Late June Flowers and a shared vision of growing beautiful, intentional flowers for the community.

Katie

Katie is a mother, farmer and textile teacher with deep roots in both land and craft. She has been farming vegetables alongside her husband since 2011, but flowers have always held a special place in her heart. What began with growing the flowers for her wedding grew into a lasting passion. For Katie, flowers are where farming meets art - color, texture and design woven into the rhythms of the field.

Our Story

What is now a thriving flower farm began as a gravel parking lot.

In 2020, we began the slow work of transformation - removing gravel, adding heaps of organic material, and carefully planning cover crop rotations to bring life back to the soil. After years of rebuilding, we grew our first flowers here in 2023. Each season since, we’ve expanded a little more, including the addition of our first high tunnel in 2026.

Today, we grow on just under half an acre and cultivate over 100 varieties of flowers. This diversity allows us to create richly textured, color-filled bouquets for the Douglass Loop Farmers Market, where our signature mixed bouquets are known for their abundance and variety.

In 2025, we began growing wholesale for florists through the Kentucky Flower Market in Frankfort. We also offer DIY flower buckets for creative hands who want to design their own arrangements. You can also find our flowers, especially our beloved dahlias, at pop-ups and at Foxhollow Farm Market throughout the season.
